Epproach Communications Chosen As Concierge Center Technology Partner

Destination Savannah announced that Epproach Communications, LLC was chosen as the Concierge Center ’s new technology partner.  Epproach will power Destination Savannah’s GDS connected terminals with high speed Internet access, granting a faster connection to rates and availability for a majority of the City’s hotels and Historic Inns.  “We chose Epproach Communications because of the reliable service they’ve provided to two of our partner hotels, the Hampton and Mulberry Inns,” says President Sean Murphy. 

   Epproach Communications, LLC a wireless network and Internet services provider recently added the Hampton Inn on Bay Street to its growing list of customers in Savannah . If you’ve visited the Hampton Inn or the Mulberry Inn in Savannah ’s Historic District recently you’ve probably noticed the availability of high speed Internet connections and if you are a heavy user of the Internet, you might have noticed an increase in the speed of the connection. But what you probably did not know is the service in both these locations is provided over a long distance wireless link from Epproach, a local Internet and Network solutions provider that specializes in high speed, broadband wireless technology. The Hampton Inn and the Mulberry Inn are connected to the Epproach network via wireless radios that provide secure, encrypted data links to the Internet. Unlike consumer based WiFi, this technology is designed specifically for business class service. 

   The Mulberry Inn has been using the service for over a year and the Hampton just came on line in September 2005. Both properties are owned by Prince Bush Hospitality.  “Epproach has been great. We started with one of our properties to evaluate the reliability of their service and we were impressed. We have not experienced any down time and Epproach has been very responsive to our needs. We are very comfortable with the service”, says Prince Bush Partner Mark Dana. 

   Both hotel properties and Destination Savannah subscribe to the Epproach Business Professional service that provides 2 Mbps of synchronous bandwidth, both up and down, to the Internet. That is 25% faster than a standard T1 circuit.
